From my stay in Franklin Pierce, I would like to highlight the opportunity to live in a small town that helped me both in my personal experience -which was incredible- as well as in my master's degree and in my studies to make it a very rewarding experience.

Franklin Pierce was a fantastic experience in my training in the area of intellectual property with great inspirations like Karl Jorda. Later I had the opportunity to return as a visiting professor in the summer courses. They were enriching experiences that opened up a much broader horizon focused on giving back and bringing a vision of development - hand in hand with intellectual property - to the countries of Latin America.

The programs for which ASIPI offers scholarships are
the following:
- Franklin Pierce Hybrid J.D. in Intellectual Property, Technology and Information Law.
- Master of Law in IP (LLM).
- Master in Intellectual Property (MIP).
- Intellectual Property Summer Institute.
- 1 scholarship for JD in Intellectual Property, Technology and Information Law.
- 2 scholarships for the LLM/MIP programs.
- 3 scholarships for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute (IPSI) courses.
ASIPI is calling for two competitions:
- A competition to allocate scholarships for the JD and for the Master’s degrees (LLM/MIP).
- A competition to allocate scholarships for the Intellectual Property Summer Institute courses.
The applicant must submit a
written work (essay) on an intellectual property topic that
meets the requirements outlined in the Rules for each
program to which he/she applies.
Yes, the work required to apply for the
scholarship to be awarded for the JD can be the same as the
one required to apply for the scholarships to be awarded for
the Master’s degrees. In this case, the applicant must
expressly indicate this in his/her submission letter and
previously review the requirements of eachprogram on the
Franklin Pierce School of Law website to verify that he/she
complies with them.
Yes, the work required to apply for the
scholarship to be awarded for the JD can be the same as the

the Master’s degrees. In this case, the applicant must

ASIPI’s Executive Committee will choose a
Qualifying Jury made up of members of the Association and/or
members of Franklin Pierce School of Law who have a
distinguished academic and professional background in
intellectual property.
The Qualifying Jure will announce
the winning essays to the ASIPI Secretary on March 15, 2025.
ASIPI's Secretary shall communicate the names of the winners
and the topics of the respective essays to ASIPI’s Executive
Committee for its immediate approval and subsequently notify
the winners no later than March 29, 2025.
Yes, scholarship winners must confirm their
participation in the program by April 5, 2025.
No,
scholarships are not transferable.
The Qualifying Jure may
decide not to award the scholarship or to assign it to one
of the alternate authors.
The scholarship only covers the tuition
costs.
The scholarship recipient
is responsible for these costs.
Who is responsible for processing the student's student VISA in case the chosen program requires it?
The scholarship recipient is responsible for
processing the student visa. Notwithstanding, accepted
students will work with the University of New Hampshire’s
Office of International Students and scholarship for support
with the visa process.
